Welcome to our 2026 NEXT Retreat! We thank God for His faithful guidance throughout the years. In the midst of our diversity, we encourage and strengthen one another as we faithfully carry out the mission God has entrusted to us, bringing glory to His name through His power and grace.

God has created each of us uniquely, giving us different languages, cultures, and spiritual gifts, yet He has called us to be one body in Christ. During this retreat, we will grow together through worship, shared meals, stories, games, and fellowship.

### Testimony - Will

Peace be with you, brothers and sisters, I am Will, and today I want to share my baptism testimony.
I grew up in a Christian family. Since I was the very first second-generation child born in our church, the entire church nurtured and pastored me as if I were Samuel.
From a young age, my parents brought me along to serve God in the church. In addition to regular small group meetings and Sunday services, they also brought me to participate in worship training, discipleship training, visitations, camps, and various gospel outreach activities.
Growing up in such an environment, I naturally accepted that Jesus is the God of our family, the God who reigns.
I remember very clearly that during my kindergarten years, I often had nightmares, would wake up crying in the middle of the night, and couldn't sleep well. Because of this, my mother regularly led us in bedtime prayers using "The Lord's Prayer." She also led me through the "Lord Reign" prayer and told me that the Jesus we believe in is a God who stays awake 24 hours a day, never sleeping nor slumbering. Even when I am asleep, Jesus watches over me, protects my heart and mind, and drives away all disturbances from the evil enemy on my behalf.
When I started praying the "Lord Reign" prayer out loud by myself before sleeping, amazingly, I gradually stopped having nightmares.
Therefore, when I was in first grade, my Sunday school teacher asked me if I was willing to accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life. I decided without hesitation to be baptized and become a child of Jesus, because I had truly and tangibly experienced that Jesus is the God who grants peace.
Throughout elementary school, whenever I faced various big and small exams and felt nervous looking at the test papers, praying to God in my heart would bring immediate peace. He would remove my feelings of restlessness and anxiety in that moment, allowing me to focus on answering the test questions.
Thus, I truly experienced that Jesus is the God who listens to my prayers, and the God who gives me strength and help.
Therefore, I want to encourage all the teens preparing for baptism today: I pray that you will trust God greatly and experience Him deeply.
Let us prepare our hearts together and use the song "Washed" to declare that Jesus is our Savior, our joy, and our ever-present help in times of trouble.

### Washed - Presented by Youth

I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
I'm as good as new, oh, hallelujah
I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
All because of You
(oh, hallelujah)

And I'm clean
Sin was stained on me
And shame was runnin' deep
Your love was spilled on Calvary
Oh, hallelujah

I'm clean
And God, how can it be?
I'm ransomed and redeemed
I'm standin' in Your victory
Oh, hallelujah

I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
I'm as good as new,
oh, hallelujah
I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
All because of You oh, hallelujah

I'm clean
It's not what I have done
But what You've done for me
You paid it all upon that tree
Oh, hallelujah

I'm clean
Your love has overcome
And Your mercy is supreme
I'm dancin' in Your victory
Oh, hallelujah

I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
I'm as good as new, oh, hallelujah
I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
All because of You (oh, hallelujah)

Cause You took away my shame
And You nailed it to the cross
You got me runnin' out the grave
Oh hallelujah, here I come
x3

Hallelujah, here I come
Hallelujah, here I come
Hallelujah, here I come
Hallelujah, here I come

‘Cause I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
I'm as good as new, oh, hallelujah
I've been washed in the water,
washed in the blood
All because of You oh, hallelujah

‘Cause I've been washed in the water
washed in the blood
I'm as good as new, oh, hallelujah
I've been washed in the water
washed in the blood
All because of You oh, hallelujah

### How Great Is Our God

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the Earth rejoice
All the Earth rejoice

He wraps himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voiceTrembles at His voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Name above all names (how great is our God, sing with me)
Worthy of our praise (how great is our God, and all will see)
My heart will sing
How great is our God

Bound Together in Love & Prayer
### Testimony - Catherine

Good evening, everyone.
As I reflect on the past year, I am truly grateful for God's abundant grace among us, especially through the Five Loaves and Two Fish ministry in our Mandarin congregation. Together, pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers have served with one heart and one mind, and we have witnessed God's wonderful work in our midst.
Many friends have come to know the gospel through these programs and activities. Some have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, while others have continued to grow in their faith and gain a deeper understanding of God's Word. For all of this, we give thanks to God.
We are especially grateful that, over the past year, Xiaoying's parents and several new brothers and sisters have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. These are beautiful testimonies of God's grace and work among us.
In addition, since Tim and Lisa joined us, a parent-child group has been added to the Five Loaves and Two Fish ministry. We have seen God's blessing upon this new initiative as more families have become involved and experienced His love and guidance. We thank God for continuing to expand His work and for allowing us to participate in it.
Because of time limitations, I will not go into all the details of the ministry over the past year. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to reflect together on everything God has done through the ministry, and we were greatly encouraged to see how God has been leading us. We are also thankful for the faithful service and dedication of so many brothers and sisters who have willingly given their time and energy.
Beyond the ministry itself, I would like to share a little about fellowship and the importance of building one another up as a spiritual family. I believe that one of the most important characteristics of a healthy Christian community is trust. In an environment where there is love, acceptance, and trust, we are able to share our weaknesses and struggles openly and pray for one another. God often uses this process to renew and transform our lives.
This truth became very real to me recently.
At the beginning of August, my mother fell in her room. By God's grace, she was protected from serious injury. She suffered only a minor bump on her head, with no broken bones, although there was some soft tissue damage. While her physical condition was not severe, it was still a difficult season for me personally.
Earlier this year, our family had already gone through a challenging period as Hua Bing became seriously ill. Then, in May, Hua Bing's sister passed away, and we had to travel back to China. Shortly afterward, my mother's fall required additional care and attention. Along with other responsibilities and pressures, I found myself emotionally and physically exhausted. At times, I felt overwhelmed by the weight of everything I was carrying.
During a prayer meeting, I shared honestly about these struggles. I am deeply thankful that God has provided such a trustworthy prayer community. The pastors and brothers and sisters prayed faithfully for me, and the very next day some of them even came to visit my mother. Their care, encouragement, and practical support meant so much to us.
Their support was not only practical but also an immense source of emotional and spiritual strength. Through their love and care, God renewed me and reminded me once again to bring my burdens to Him. Gradually, I began to experience restoration and renewed strength in my spirit.
For that, I am truly thankful to God.
This experience has helped me appreciate even more that fellowship is not only about serving and gathering together. It is also about walking alongside one another, bearing one another's burdens, praying for one another, and supporting one another. When one person is weak, others can come alongside and help. When God blesses one person, we can all rejoice together.
May God continue to lead our fellowship, helping us to build one another up in love and grow together in Christ. And may He use our lives and our ministry to help more seekers come to know the Lord and accept Him as their Savior.
Thank you.

### Goodness of God

I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God

**Chorus**
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

**Verse 2**
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest nights
You are close like no other
I've known You as a father
I've known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God

**Bridge**
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
With my life laid down, I’m surrendered now, I give You everything
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me

### You Are Our God

The heavens declare Your glory
The skies proclaim the work of Your hands
With Open Hands, You satisfy us
All words confess, You are the mighty God.
You're our God, Seated on the throne.
Robed in glory and power, We worship you.
Almighty God, We exalt your name.
All the honor and power and praise, belongs to you.
When you spoke, It came to be.
By your word, You breathed new life.
All creatures sing, Hallelujah, holy, holy, holy!
You're our God, Seated on the throne.
Robed in glory and power, We worship you.
Almighty God, We exalt your name.
All the honor and power and praise, belongs to you.
All the honor and power and praise, belongs to you.

## Walking Together

### Testimony - Adam

We give thanks for:
Faithful Visitation: Members of our church family who diligently visit the residents at Juniper House and serve the Cantonese Seniors Fellowship.
Building Up the Sanctuary: Volunteers who generously gave their time and skills to construct two nursery/multipurpose rooms in the main sanctuary.
Small-Town Mission Outreach: Those who willingly partner with small-town missionaries to visit Chinese restaurant and business owners in remote communities.
Walking with Families in Crisis: Compassionate individuals who spend time walking alongside families facing deep distress and difficult circumstances.
Unsung Servants: Faithful brothers and sisters who serve quietly behind the scenes without seeking recognition, stepping up whenever a need arises.
Unified Leadership: Representation from all three congregations within our Administration Team, enabling our church leaders to work together seamlessly. Unity across our church body is only possible through this joint effort from our leadership.

### The Lily of the Valley

I have found a friend in Jesus, 3He's everything to me,
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The "Lily of the Valley," in Him alone I see,
all I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He's my comfort, in trouble He's my stay,
He tells me every care on Him to roll;

He's the "Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,"
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

He all my grief has taken, and all my sorrows borne,
in temptation He's my strong and mighty tower;
I have all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
From my heart, and now He keeps me by His power.
Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,
through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal.

### Still

**VERSE 1**
Hide me now
Under Your wings
Cover me
Within Your mighty hand
**CHORUS**
When the oceans rise
And thunders roar
I will soar with You
Above the storm
Father You are King
Over the flood
I will be still and know
You are God

**VERSE 2**
Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know His power
In quietness and trust
**CHORUS**
When the oceans rise
And thunders roar
I will soar with You
Above the storm
Father You are King
Over the flood
I will be still and know
You are God

## Next Generation

### Testimony - Thian-peng

Good evening, brothers and sisters. Our retreat theme is Members of One Body. I want to share about leading the 5L2F Upper Class, children roughly eight to twelve.
At first, 5L2F had one children's group spanning many ages. Older kids got bored when material was too easy, stopped listening, and younger kids followed. I had never planned to serve in children's ministry. I was confident in administration and adult study groups, but had little experience beyond my own children. But there were too few leaders for newly arrived children, some unfamiliar with church and some having received little love. Caring for them would help parents come. I did not know how to teach, but I was willing to talk with them and know them. So I said yes.
I am excited when children share their struggles and pain. When they open up, I see an opportunity for God to heal them. When a distracted child gives a reasonable answer, I know they were listening.
A highlight was partnering with high school students. I walked with David, now at university, helping him grow in faith and service and stay engaged. Seeing him grow motivated me to keep serving. Companionship is more than doing a job.
There are low lights. Newly arrived children do not always listen or attend consistently, and sometimes hurt one another with words. I have asked, “Why am I here? Should these children go somewhere else?” But they could miss the chance to know God. My high school students have left for university, and I have no new helpers. I am looking, because the children need love and I can only offer so much.
God is teaching me patience as I watch them grow, and humility when I think my time belongs elsewhere. Seeing the next generation refocuses me. I am thankful for our brothers and sisters’ prayers, encouragement, and acknowledgement of these challenges, and for parents willing to let their children work with me.
My vision is that these children know Jesus, love Scripture, and feel they belong to the church. I hope high school students learn to lead and take responsibility. Please pray the children develop a desire to come to church greater than their parents’ desire, and high school leaders lead more and create interaction with younger children. Most of all, pray that 5L2F forms young disciples who know they are members of Christ’s body. Thank you.

### Oh When the Saints Go Marching In

Oh when the saints go marching in,
Oh when the saints go marching in
Oh Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

O when the sun refused to shine,
O when the sun refused to shine,
Lord, I want to be in that number
when the sun refused to shine.

O when the trumpet sound its call,
O when the trumpet sound its call,
O Lord, I want to be in that number
when the trumpet sound its call.

Will

### Washed

Catherine

Oh When the Saints Go Marching In
