Praise and Worship (15 mins)

Parents: The parent and child scheduled for this week will lead us in singing on Sunday. Please take time to practice the songs together at home, helping your child feel confident and joyful as they prepare to lead.

Prayer and Offering (5 mins)

Parents: Please encourage your children to bring an offering to church. You may help your child prepare by setting aside a coin for them to bring on Sunday. This is a great opportunity to teach them about giving to God with a thankful heart and trusting Him to provide.

What is Offering?

Offering is when we give something to God to show our love and thankfulness. In church, we often give money as an offering, but we can also give our time, talents, and kindness to God and others.

Why Do We Make an Offering?

1️⃣ To Thank God – Everything we have comes from God! Giving back is a way to say, “Thank You, God!”
2️⃣ To Trust God – When we give, we show that we trust God to take care of us.
3️⃣ To Help Others – Offerings help the church teach about Jesus, help people in need, and share God’s love.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:7,
"God loves a cheerful giver!" That means God is happy when we give with a joyful heart!

Prayer for Offering

Dear God, thank You for giving us everything we need. We want to give back to You with joyful hearts. Please use our offering to help others and share Your love. Help us to always trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Bible Story (10 min): God is Omniscient (All-Knowing)

Introduction (1 min) - What's in the Bag?

(Hold up a mystery bag.)

Hey everyone! I have something inside this bag. Do you know what it is?

(Let the kids guess. Respond with excitement but don’t reveal the object yet.)

Hmm, those are some great guesses! But do you know for sure? No? That’s because we can’t see inside the bag. But guess what? There is someone who already knows exactly what’s inside—even before I put it in. Who do you think that is?

(Let kids respond: "God!")

That’s right! God knows everything! Today, we’re going to learn about how God knows all about us—our thoughts, our words, even the number of hairs on our heads! Let’s listen to what the Bible says about God’s amazing knowledge!

    Story Telling (5 min) Psalm 139:1-4, 13-16

    (Have kids sit. Encourage them to use simple motions to interact with the story.)

    I’m going to read from the Bible, and whenever I say the word 'know' or 'knows', I want you to point to your head like you’re thinking. And whenever I say the word 'made' or 'created', I want you to hug yourself to remember that God made you special. Ready?

    (Begin reading slowly, emphasizing the bolded words. Pause so kids can do the actions.)

    (reading Psalm 139:1-4, 13-16):

    "You have searched me, LORD, and you know me." (Kids point to head)
    "You know when I sit and when I rise." (Kids point to head)
    "You understand my thoughts from afar."
    "You see my going out and my lying down; you know everything I do." (Kids point to head)
    "Before a word is on my tongue, LORD, you know it completely!" (Kids point to head)

    (Pause and explain.)

    "Wow! That means God knows what we are going to say even before we say it. Isn't that amazing? Let’s keep reading!"

    (Continue reading Psalm 139:13-16)

    "You created my inmost being." (Kids hug themselves)
    "You knit me together in my mother’s womb." (Kids hug themselves)
    "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Kids hug themselves)
    "All the days of my life were written in your book before one of them came to be."

    (Pause and explain.)

    This means that before you were even born, God knew everything about you! He knew what colour your eyes would be, how tall you would grow, and even what your favourite food would be! He knows all your thoughts and feelings. And guess what? He loves you so much!

    Wrap-up & Discussion (4 min)

    Let’s think about what we just learned. I have some questions for you!

    "What does it mean that God knows everything?"

    (Let kids answer: He knows all things—past, present, and future!)

    "How does it make you feel that God knows your thoughts and feelings?"

    (Let kids answer: Safe, comforted, loved!)

    "Why is it good that God knows everything?"

    (Let kids answer: Because He can take care of us and help us!)

    That’s right! We don’t have to be afraid or worried because God already knows what will happen, and He is always in control. He knows us and loves us more than anyone else. That’s why we can always trust Him!

    Memorizing Verse: 1 John 3:20b

    Now that we’ve learned how much God knows, let’s practice our memory verse together!

    (Point to the verse.)

    Let’s read it together:
    ‘God... knows everything.’ —1 John 3:20b

    (Have kids repeat it after you. Say it a few times with different fun actions.)

    • Whisper it like a secret.
    • Shout it like you’re cheering for your favorite team.
    • Say it slowly like you’re in slow motion.
    • Clap on each word as you say it.

    Great job! This verse reminds us that God knows EVERYTHING about us—our thoughts, our feelings, and our future!

    Craft & Game (10 mins)

    Materials Needed:

    • White paper (one per child)
    • Crayons or markers
    • Stickers (optional)

    Now that we’ve learned how much God knows about us, let’s make something to help us remember!

    (Pass out the paper and crayons/markers.)

    I want you to take your hand and place it flat on the paper like this.

     (Demonstrate placing your hand on the paper.)

    Now, take a crayon or marker and trace around your fingers and hand.

    (Give kids time to trace their hands. Walk around to help younger children.)

    Great job! Now, inside your handprint, write these words: 'God Knows Me!'

    (Write it on the board or show an example for kids to copy.)

    Now, on each of your fingers, write something that God knows about you. Here are some ideas:

    • Your name (God knows your name!)
    • Your favourite food (God knows what you love to eat!)
    • Something you love to do (God knows what makes you happy!)
    • A dream or goal you have (God knows your future!)
    • Something you might worry about (God knows your feelings and cares about you!)

    (Give kids time to fill in their handprints.)

    Now, let’s decorate our handprints with colors and stickers! You can make it as beautiful as you like!

    (Let kids decorate their handprints.)

    These handprints will remind us that God knows EVERYTHING about us—our thoughts, our feelings, our dreams, and even our worries. And because God knows everything, we can trust Him!"

    Game (5 min) - “Guess What I’m Thinking”

    How to Play:

    1. Choose a child to think of something (an animal, a food, or a color).
    2. The rest of the class takes turns asking yes/no questions to guess what it is.
    3. The child reveals the answer once someone guesses correctly.
    4. Repeat with different children as time allows.

    Now, we’re going to play a fun game called ‘Guess What I’m Thinking!’ In this game, one person will think of something—like an animal, a food, or a colour—and the rest of us will try to guess what it is by asking yes or no questions.

    (Choose a volunteer. Whisper an idea to them if they need help thinking of something.)

    Okay! Our friend here is thinking of something. Let’s ask yes/no questions to figure it out! You can ask things like:

    • ‘Is it an animal?’
    • ‘Is it something we eat?’
    • ‘Is it big or small?’"

    (Let the kids take turns guessing. Keep the game moving quickly to engage all children.)

    After a correct guess:

    Great job! But did you notice something? We had to guess what they were thinking, right? We didn’t know for sure. But guess what? God never has to guess—He already knows everything!

    Wrap-up:

    Isn’t it amazing that God knows everything about us—our thoughts, feelings, and even what we will say before we say it? That’s why we can always trust Him!

    Closing Prayer, Announcement, Birthdays & Snack Time (10 mins)

    "Dear God, thank You for knowing everything about us. Thank You for loving us, caring for us, and planning our lives. Help us to trust You more each day. Amen!"
